The Reynolds School Board has delivered an ultimatum to the members of REA that completely shuts down bargaining on ALL issues, not just the financial ones. This behavior is consistent with their Refusal to Bargain letter on prep time, their lack of availability to bargain, and their lack of proposals on issues that matter to REA members. As I hear about what is happening in Reynolds, and what is happening in Eagle Point, and the other districts prior to this, it seems there is a real concerted effort by groups to bring down labor. I am always struck by how sexist I find it that teachers are one of the groups attacked, more than other public sector employees. We don't see firemen facing such attacks. I appreciate how parents are supporting Reynolds teachers.
